Fun Day

 Two weeks ago we had a wonderful fun day. We all enjoyed a cool movie and hanging around in our warm pyjamas. 

This awesome video was made for Ms Scanlan to show you all the cool things we got up to. 

Maths and Movement Part 1

 This term our class is focusing on learning our addition, subtraction and multiplication facts in fun and engaging ways.

We are all at different stages with our knowledge and to help each other we are making dances to some cool songs we found online. 

First our teachers helped us to select some facts and songs to sing. 

We choose this song about bonds to 10 and this song about doubles. 

Then we worked in 3s and 4s to come up with some cool moves to help us stay fit and learn our maths facts.

Art Works Week One

This week we have been very busy in room 23 learning about how Art Works. 

We started off the week learning about primary colours and how to mix secondary colours. This lead to our wonderful colour wheel Art. 

 Each day our teacher shared with us a song of the day. Our favourites this week were Sweet child of mine and fly me to the moon.

Later in the week, we took on the challenge of blending colours to create sunset. We all used lots of water to help mix the colours on our paper. 

 Some of us who read with Mrs Carruthers read all about art. We learnt how to paint cute pots that we will later plan plants in and take home to our families. One great make beautiful flowers, another made clay faces and one group even learned how to make their own chalk.

Art Works Assembly

 In term 3 our school theme is Art works. On Monday we had a big assembly with all of the teachers and students from Pt England School called an immersion assembly. 

All the teachers put on a show for us sharing some of the creative arts we would be doing. 

Our team is learning about all kinds of art from Music to dance, drama and of course visual art with painting and drawing to come. We can't wait to have a great term learning how Art Works!

Our First day

 Today we had our first day back at school for 2022. For some of us this was the first day back for ages has we had not returned after to 2021 Covid 19 Lockdowns. 

Our First day was fulled with happy times.

Siapo Art

 This week we made Siapo Art.

This is Niah's recount about what we did: 

On Wednesday we did Siapo art. First Mrs Carruthers gave us paper. Then we have to make big petals. So we drew big patterns in it: next I made the big patterns. After I showed it to my teacher. I coloured it in with crayons. After you went outside to dye my art with my friends. Finally my art was finished, it looked good.
